Professional liability insurance (PLI) for MLTs provides coverage for civil litigation damages resulting from negligence while performing their normal duties as a medical laboratory technologist.
Insurance Requirements
All provincial Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) regulators require Professional Liability Insurance (PLI) to a minimum of $2,000,000 or $5,000,000. Please contact the provincial regulator in the province you are planning to become registered in for more information on their PLI requirements.
